A technical wizard from Heidelberg (a base an hour and a half away) was informed that the electricity had been compromised in his office. The said technical wizard was given leave to drive from Heidelberg and stay over night (how can one be expected to drive the three hour round trip to Stuttgart and back and flip a switch in one day?), receive additional "away from home" pay and finally restore power to a dark and microwaveless office. "Woah, we're in the army, now."

I am so glad our tax dollars are being used for such dier emergencies. That is a pretty funny story!
Hey, Garrett could have burned the whole office down-- what if he'd switched the wrong breaker . . .? The government is just watching out for everyone's safety, right?

OH.MY.GOSH!!! Really? Sheesh, I wish they'd throw some my way! I always tell people the cray ways you see our taxes being spent by the government, from when we were living over there. But that one takes the cake! :) Too funny!
